Anyone else have a problem with the government adding to the problem instead of helping? If you had an employee that continually cost you money what would you do? funny-- I like the answers that say the government doesn't control the prices..lol--- maybe not directly-- but what other industry can get away w/ record profits at the cost of our country's economy..and the government --NOT get involved?? We call them oil companies and what Obama and company are proposing is raising taxes on gas and oil. Here is a fact for you. Corporations never pay these taxes out of profit. All taxes are passed on to the consumer in the way of HIGHER PRICES. So what the democrats are proposing will raise gas prices by about 147%. Hope you like paying oh $9 or $10 per gallon for gas. The other energy tax will raise energy costs another 145% this will be for electricity and things like that. Hope you like doing without AC in the summer and heat in the winter.
not only can we fire our govt, its our responsibility! (if we decide this govt no longer serves us - We the People.)

Thats what you can always expect from democrats. Funny isn't it, how Demcrats claim to be out for the little man when they're the first one to gouge him. $1 in taxes hurts someone with very little money, it doesn't budge someone with lots of money. Thanks dems!
Our government doesn't control the price of oil. OPEC, speculators and other global market factors play into that.
maybe the question should be ';how do u like having a minority lobbyist group run our economy such as the enviro-nutz that will come up with any assinine excuse to not let us drill and get away from opec?';
Raising taxes and taking away tax breaks are too different things. Record profits mean you don't need the tax cuts.
