Is it possible for the US to stop getting oil from abroad?

there must be plenty of oil in the US itself, what if we just get some from canada?Is it possible for the US to stop getting oil from abroad?
Because we won't allow the drilling. There are 545 politicians in the way. Okay, maybe not the whole Congress but there enough that keep us from drilling. We can also buy more oil from Canada as well. BTW, we buy more from Canada than the middle east.Is it possible for the US to stop getting oil from abroad?
We ARE getting oil from Canada. Canada is our top supplier, followed by Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Nigeria, Venezuela, Iraq, Angola, Algeria, Brazil, Kuwait, Ecuador, Columbia, Chad, Russia and Libya.





So, Canada is already our TOP supplier.
most of our oil comes from canada and mexico, and some from venezuela.
