How can I stop oil pastel from smudging?

My work in oil pastel in my scetchbook always looks so good so start with then after a while it has smudged everywhere and the colours have mixed together etc. and just looks messy! I HAVE to use oil pastel for some of my pages so please don't say use 'blah blah blah' instead..um so yeah help please? How can I stop oil pastel from smudging?
Perhaps you could switch your brand of pastel to another one that is 'harder'. It will not smudge as easily, probably making it a little more difficult to work with, but at least your work wont get messed up as easily after wards . If you really prefer soft oil pastels, however, perhaps you should do like the poster above me suggested and ask for a fixative that specifically works for oil pastel. All the best!!How can I stop oil pastel from smudging?
hairspray!!! I love pastels. They also have professional sealers for this but hairspray works just as good, either extreme hold or max hold. =] hope this helps!
Spray the pages with hairspray when you are done drawing. It will seal in the pastels so they wont smudge. (It works with pencil and regular pastel too.)
Personally I hate oil pastels so I don't know any specific brands but I do know exactly what you need.

Every art supply store has this spray for oil pastel which protects the oil paint. It's prevents smugging and mixing of the color. It's like a matte varnish. Sorry, I don't know what it's called but I'm 100% positive if you describe it to anyone who is works at the store, they'll know.
