Both Obama and McCain are repeatedly stating that they can decrease US dependence on Middle East oil and this will stop oil dollars going to the Middle East.


It seems to me that the world's new oil consumers (e.g. China, India) will more than make up for anything the US will no longer be using.

1. Remove all drilling restrictions in America: off shore, ANWR, within 50 miles off shore.





2. End the restrictions that have prevented new refineries built in 32 years.





3. Any and every plausible energy source. End subsidies for energy that is not cost effective.
