try replacing the sending unit on it before you replace the oil pump, when a sending unit starts going bad they will make the light come on at idle or low speeds regardless of how much oil it has in it,that's a lot cheaper repair than replacing an oil pump,good luck.2002 dodge van oil light comes on when i stop oil levels are ok just changed oil?
That is a good symptom of your oil pump starting to go. Have it checked before you really damage your engine.
