Why does the oil pressure light come on when I stop & off when I accelerate with the oil full in '02 Liberty?

Vehicle is 2002 Jeep Liberty. Just had full oil change. Oil filter installed correctly and plug in and tight.Why does the oil pressure light come on when I stop %26amp; off when I accelerate with the oil full in '02 Liberty?
better get it checked out as the oil pump could be going bad or the screen plugged on it, it's nothing to mess with as it could end up burning up your engine, take it to the garage and have it checked out today if not sooner.Why does the oil pressure light come on when I stop %26amp; off when I accelerate with the oil full in '02 Liberty?
You could have low oil pressure, low oil level, or a faulty oil pressure sensor. Hopefully it is the latter.
Are you sure the oil is up?


Well, it means the pressure drops when the car idles. COmmon cause could be a restricted oil pump. an open pressure relief valve or the clearances in your main bearings have increased .
Did they Really Change the Filter? is the Oil at the Full Mark, Engine Off?





Sounds Like the Oil is Low and/or Filter is Clogged!

Oil Pressure Sensor Could be bad! system may need to be Flushed?
sounds like an oil pump problem. The oil pump is driven by the engine so when you accelerate and the engine turns faster, the oil pump pumps faster and puts out more pressure. when you let off the gas, the engine idles and less oil pressure is leaving the pump.
