Why does the federal gov. discourage inventions that stop oil use?

It seams that the feds don't want anyone to produce a product that puts a big dent in oil use. Or is it the Oil companies themself?Why does the federal gov. discourage inventions that stop oil use?
for one thing the big oil companies are the ones who are financing many of our top political elections and always have. if we were to produce alternative fuel sorces they would loose a lot of the backing they now have, also our politicians make deals with other countries to buy their oil in return for them buying things from us, making it very hard for our citizens to be independant of other countries, we have long been sold out to others. look up ear-marks and you will learn more on how we are bieng sold out!Why does the federal gov. discourage inventions that stop oil use?
The money that controls oil is the same money that controls the US, oil dependency is control, and control isn't relinquished easily, you must understand that the people running things would much rather leave the planet uninhabitable then allow their iron grip on the world to be loosened... ...ohh, and arbusto oil wasn't wholly owned by W, the main monetary investment came from the bin laden family...
your best bet is to see who is backing the federal gov. There is a federal gov oil reserve. The pres. owns an oil company.


If there were something else for us to use then the oil company would not make all the money, only a part of it. So I think the oil companies say if you go with something else...we will not back you in the poles.
The oldest and greatest evil - money. If they cannot benefit and line their pockets from something they don't want to know about it.
