Anyone had any luck with additives to stop the smoke caused by oil burning from a car exhaust?

it's all voodooAnyone had any luck with additives to stop the smoke caused by oil burning from a car exhaust?
Additives, as a rule and in my humble opinion, are not worth the carton they come in. Sometimes they can slow the effect (smoke) but the engine is damaged already. no additive is going to fix that.

The GOOD NEWS is that all is not necessarily lost. Oil burning can come from a variety of ways, from stuck PCV valves to worn valve guides to scored cylinders or cooked piston rings... the wise move is to get it to a trusted mechanic and get on the track to solving the problem.Anyone had any luck with additives to stop the smoke caused by oil burning from a car exhaust?
