Clipper oil is a nice light oil. It will work fine on your hinges.

Go for it!Is it ok to use clipper oil to put on the hinges of a door to stop it from creaking??
Clipper oil will work so will olive oil.......
If I was to use clipper oil, I would make sure that when you place the oil make sure you have a paper towel or rag to wipe up the drips. After you put the oil on the hinge move the door back and forth so the oil penetrates, then wipe the hinge.
Hinges are nothing speacial, you can use any light oil, even vegtable oil. If you dont want to mess with drips you can even rub a bar of soap on them and work it in by moving back and forth.
Clipper oil will work just fine, it will not cause any harm to your doors or hardware for your doors.
