The oil pump, pick up tube and screen have all been replaced along with new oil and filter with no improvement. Idle is fine and pressure was checked and was ok. Failure occures only after steady driving then coming to a complete stop. Oil pressure gauge drops to zero and ';check gauges'; light comes on. Increase the rpms a little and the gauge corrects. Any ideas?My 96 Grand Cherokee has good oil pressure until I stop at a light after traveling a long distance. Reason?
Likely your sending unit has failed.
