What are the causes of facial and scalp oil? how to stop them?

i get a oily face and scalp... any suggestion would be much appreciated. What are the causes of facial and scalp oil? how to stop them?
I think a lot of people would like the answer to that question. As far as I know, the only way to deal with oil is to wash with a degreasing (made for oily hair or face) soap.

My husband is like that. He cannot go even one day without showering and washing his face, hot water, scrubbing. His hair is dripping with oil if he doesn't wash it every day. What causes this? I don't know. If you find out, please let me know!

for oily face try

oil blotter - this may sound odd but tobacco rolling papers do a great job of blotting excess oil from your face, without removing makeup. best of all they are available anywhere and very cheap!

Lemon - If you've got an oily face problem, I suggest using lemons. Cut a lemon in half or into quarters (depending on your liking), and rub the slices on your face for about a good five minutes. Make sure to close your eyes when you're rubbing it on your forehead, the juices can leak into your eyes! After rubbing the lemon in, leave it on for another five or ten minutes and then wash off with cold water. You'll feel refreshed and the oil problem will go away. With repeated usage your face will look refreshed.

There a many hair products designed specifically to treat oily hair. The best choices are mild shampoos and conditioners, often labeled ';clarifying,'; that gently moisturize your hair and don't contain any harsh detergents like sulfates.

You may also find that giving a higher-end, salon-brand product a chance will bring you visible results sooner. These products are designed to produce healthier hair without using unnecessary and damaging chemicals, giving your hair and scalp the benefit of a long-lasting treatment aimed specifically at your needs. And, of course, for additional advice you can always discuss your options with a hair-stylist.

Good luck
